Brand and Website Design for Samantha & Brady Creative

Location: South Carolina

Specialty: Wedding + Couples Photography

Vibe: Rebellious. Nostalgic. Dreamy.

In Business Since: 2021

Some clients come to you with a brief. Samantha and Brady came to me with a soul.

Let me tell you about a husband and wife photography team from South Carolina who knew exactly who they were, had built something genuinely special from scratch, and were stuck behind branding so generic it was practically invisible. They came to me because their current look was, in Samantha’s own words, cookie cutter. It didn’t stick out. It was forgettable. For a business this emotionally loaded, this alive, that is almost a crime.

Samantha and Brady Creative specializes in wedding and couples photography across South Carolina and parts of North Carolina. Their shooting style sits right at the intersection of documentary and editorial. They catch the candid in-between moments AND deliver the classic portraits. They describe their work as moody, intimate, and more true-to-color. They are two people who genuinely care about the people standing in front of their lens, and it shows in everything they do.

The Old Brand Was Lying About Who They Are

When Samantha described their old branding, she did not mince words. It was the most generic thing they could find at the time because it was better than nothing. It had no defined vibe. It did not stand out amongst other photographers in their area. She asked if “nothing” was a fair answer when asked what she liked about it.

For a business this full of personality, this specific in its values, this clear about who it wants to serve, generic is not just a missed opportunity. It is actively working against them. Their dream clients, the laid-back, a-little-alternative, quirky, go-with-the-flow couples who care more about quality time than perfectly arranged centerpieces, were never going to recognize themselves in a brand that looked like every other photographer’s template.

They knew what they hated. They knew who they were. They had a crystal clear vision of the feeling they wanted to create. They just needed someone to build it.

The brief, basically:

Polaroids taped to the bedroom wall. Running through sprinklers barefoot. Kissing your crush under the bleachers. Late-night car rides with the windows down and the music too loud.

The brief called for something moody, nostalgic, and a little rebellious. It needed to feel like a film you love so much it starts to feel like a memory. It needed to not look like anyone else’s photography website. It needed to attract a very specific kind of couple and visibly, obviously not be for anyone else.

This Is What It Looks Like When a Brand Tells the Truth

Samantha and Brady Creative is a business built on something real. A healing journey. A letter written to a younger self. Two people who decided to stop being miserable and start building something that actually fits them. That is the foundation this brand sits on, and that is exactly what needed to come through in every color choice, every font pairing, every line of copy.

Their clients are not looking for the fanciest photographer in South Carolina. They are looking for two people who will make them feel seen, understood, and free to be exactly who they are on one of the biggest days of their lives. The brand needed to say that before anyone ever picked up the phone.

Rebellious. Nostalgic. Dreamy. That was always in there. We just finally let it out.
