Picture this: a lifelong Alaskan with a Masters in Education, a Kinesiology degree, and a former college basketball player who traded textbooks for stems and created pure floral magic. That’s Kasara Bertels, the powerhouse behind The Teal Door, and she came to me ready to shake up the entire floral industry.
For six incredible years, Kasara has been designing with dried and fresh florals for weddings, elopements, events, and photoshoots across Alaska’s insanely stunning landscapes. “I feel like I need to elevate,” she explained. “I have done all of my branding and website and everything for so long, it’s time for the professionals to take over and add their passion to my work.”
This wasn’t about fixing something broken. This was about taking something already magical and making it absolutely unstoppable.
The Vision
Three words define how Kasara wanted her messaging to come across: Bold. Artistic. Confident.
For her visual identity, she craved something organic, bold, and dreamy with whimsical touches. No sad beige colors, no impossible-to-read fonts, and definitely no basic bouquet logos like everyone else.
Her dream theme? Art deco meets eclectic meets colorful explosion. Think bold and dreamy with a heavy dose of personality.
The Teal Door represents every creative entrepreneur who knows they’re meant for something bigger. It’s for the rule-breakers, the risk-takers, and the artists who refuse to create anything ordinary.
The Teal Door’s new brand captures everything that makes Kasara magnetic: her confidence, her artistry, her boldness, and her ability to transform any space into something magical. It speaks directly to couples who want their wedding flowers to be art, not just decoration.
