Summary:
Lauren wanted her website to feel like a handwritten love letter, and she meant it: vintage postcards, art nouveau frames, garden parties, modern psychedelia, all of it living together in what she calls “vintage whimsy garden vibes.” She’s a Pacific Northwest photographer who has been capturing love stories since 2017, and her brand needed to match the maximalist, romantic world she inhabits. This one is for the creatives who have too many references and too much soul to ever be contained by something simple.

Based in the Pacific Northwest near Tacoma, Lauren New Photography has been capturing love stories since 2017, but she was ready for a brand that truly reflected her maximalist, vintage-romantic aesthetic. Lauren’s brief was beautifully complex: she wanted her website to feel like “a handwritten love letter from me to you”, personal, well put together, and bursting with all the things she loves. Her inspiration drew from vintage postcards, art nouveau frames, garden parties, and modern psychedelia, all wrapped up in what she calls “vintage whimsy garden vibes.”
Her philosophy centers around making everyone feel worthy of being documented. This authentic approach to celebrating life’s “joie de vivre moments” became central to how we positioned her brand. The challenge was creating something that felt eclectic and editorial without becoming chaotic… Maximalist but sophisticated, playful but professional.
Lauren’s aesthetic references ranged from Ralph Lauren’s vintage campaigns to music festival graphics, from library embossed fonts to modern psychedelic artwork. She wanted polaroids, vintage frames, handwritten elements, and travel-inspired details like postcards and stamps. The key was creating a system that could hold all these elements together while still feeling cohesive.
The completed identity successfully captures Lauren’s maximalist romance through carefully curated vintage elements, art nouveau-inspired frames, whimsical butterflies, and that dreamy mix of handwritten script and editorial serif fonts. Every element works together to create something that feels like stepping into Lauren’s world, colorful, welcoming, and authentically romantic.
Her reaction said it all: this was someone excited to finally have a brand that matched the energy she brings to every shoot, every client interaction, and every incredible moment she documents.

The day I was trying to pick a brand & website designer, I was meeting with so many, but Robyn just stood out amongst the rest. She just understood my vision from the moment I asked her if she'd ever seen 13 going on 30 (spoiler, she had.) & read Tiger Beat magazine as a pre-teen (she also had), that those were my main inspirations, but didn't know where to start on making it seem "luxury" or cohesive.
Robyn took my little idea and RAN with it. She ran so far with it and made into something absolutely phenomenal!!! We went away from the beige look I had and into my 12 year old fantasy and I couldn't be happier, but it's also a beautiful place to showcase our work!!!

She reminded me why I started and helped me fall in love with my work all over again.
